About Your Host, Mazi

I have been the Executive Director of WBL since 2002. I have been a project manager for multiple murals that have been created around the District and around the world. This walking tour is designed to see some of the projects I have managed and projects I admire. Many of the murals we will visit are hidden gems that you will only see if you know they are there. Some of them are painted in commercial corridors too, but the stories behind the murals are not known although they are some of the largest, best-preserved works of public art in the District.

Hear from our Patrons

My dog, Bella, and I had a great time! Mazi shared lots of interesting info and was prepared with water and water bowls!

This is a fun choice if you’ve got dogs. Mazi brought water for us and for the dogs, including dog bowls. The murals were amazing, and Mazi was very knowledgeable about them and about the neighborhoods we walked through.
